MK Geek Night

Our Code Of Conduct

At Milton Keynes Geek Night we strive to achieve a friendly, welcoming environment for all attendees and speakers. We've built our events around having fun and inclusivity, which revolves around treating all individuals with respect and tolerance, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, ethnicity or religious views.

Be considerate and treat others as you would expect and want to be treated.

We are very proud to have created this environment at MK Geek Night since our very first event in 2012, with a strong reputation for being a friendly and warm event, welcoming to all. If however you do have a problem, see that someone else is having a problem, or have any other concerns, please speak to us immediately. We can usually be found near the stage but if you have any problems locating us, see The Buszy staff who can locate us or help you. If you need to reach us in an emergency you can call Richard's mobile: 07931 889996. If you want to discuss anything outside of the event, please email us.

Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated at MK Geek Night. This includes offensive verbal and non-verbal (through social media etc) comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in any of the aforementioned behaviour, we may take any action we deem appropriate, from warning the offender to immediately expelling and banning the offender from MK Geek Night, or in extreme circumstances, contacting the police or appropriate authorities.
